Rev. Samuel Maurice Dew is a proud native of Houston, Texas, born to Pastor Gerald Dew and the late Ms. Lucille Dew. He accepted Jesus Christ as his Lord and Savior at an early age. During his formative years, he received a strong foundation in Christian education and biblical teaching, which cultivated his passion for ministry, preaching, and biblical studies. At the age of sixteen, Rev. Dew preached his first sermon in his hometown of Houston, Texas.

Rev. Dew is a graduate of Wiley College in Marshall, Texas, where he earned a Bachelor of Arts in Religious Studies, and Criswell College in Dallas, Texas, where he earned a Master of Divinity in Biblical Languages and Studies. His academic preparation reflects his abiding commitment to both the church and the academy.

He currently serves as the Senior Pastor of Bethlehem Baptist Church of Carthage, Texas, where he is committed to faithful biblical preaching, Christian education, discipleship, community engagement, and equipping the church for effective ministry. His ministry is driven by a desire to make the Word of God accessible, applicable, and transformative for the contemporary church.

Rev. Dew also serves as an Adjunct Professor of Biblical Studies at Jakes Divinity School, where he combines his passion for Scripture with his commitment to theological education and the development of Christian leaders.

His ministry extends beyond the local church and classroom. Rev. Dew has served as Recording Secretary for the Evangelical Board of the National Missionary Baptist Convention of America, contributing his gifts to the broader work of the Baptist church.

Rev. Dew is equally committed to civic and community engagement. He currently serves as President of the Hunt County Unit of the NAACP, where he works alongside community leaders and residents to advance justice, equality, civic engagement, and opportunities for the people of Hunt County.

Throughout his ministry, Rev. Dew has maintained a steadfast commitment to preaching the Gospel, teaching the Scriptures, serving the community, and preparing others for Christian leadership.

Above all, Rev. Dew considers fatherhood one of God's greatest blessings in his life. He is the proud father of two daughters, **Lavender Grace Dew and Lily Joy Dew**.
